The Chashma Ayub

The Chashma Ayub, or Job's well, is a monument to the spring that the prophet is reputed to have set flowing. In close proximity to the Samanid mausoleum, it was erected in the twelfth century and reworked in the 1380s. Above the central nave are three cupolas. Directly over the site of the well is a short tower capped by a conical roof.
